Baghdad: Hundreds of residents of the Al-Hamza Al-Sharqi district, located south of Diwaniyah province, gathered in protest to voice their demands for a better electricity supply, as the area continues to face rising temperatures.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the protesters are urging both local and central government authorities, along with the Ministry of Electricity, to address their concerns by enhancing the electricity situation. The residents are specifically calling for an increase in the province’s share of power, emphasizing the urgency of the matter with the Arba’een pilgrimage on the horizon.
