Baghdad: Civil Defense forces managed to control a fire at a spare parts warehouse in Karrada with the participation of 17 specialized firefighting teams. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Civil Defense announced the successful containment of the fire, which broke out in a two-story commercial warehouse located in the Al-Mashan complex in the Karrada district of central Baghdad.

The Civil Defense Directorate’s press release detailed that the warehouse, measuring 250 square meters, was used for trading automobile spare parts. The structure of the warehouse consisted of a brick ground floor and a second floor made of corrugated iron sheets. Under the direct field supervision of Major General Mohsen Kadhim Alak, the Director General of Civil Defense, 17 specialized and support firefighting teams were deployed to manage the situation.

The statement from the Directorate confirmed that the teams effectively contained and isolated the fire, successfully preventing it from spreading to nearby buildings and warehouses. The fire was extinguished and cooled without any reported injuries, and measures were taken to limit material damage.
