Baghdad: PM Advisor Farhad Ala’a Al-Din affirmed on Monday that the Prime Minister’s visit to the United States achieved significant results on the political, economic, and investment levels.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Ala’a Al-Din stated, “The official visit of the Iraqi delegation, headed by the Prime Minister, to the United States achieved significant results on the political, economic, and investment levels, and contributed to solidifying Iraq’s position as a reliable partner seeking to build balanced relations based on mutual interests and respect for sovereignty.”

He elaborated that the visit included productive discussions with the US President and senior officials in the administration and Congress, along with extensive meetings with major American companies. These engagements have opened a new avenue for economic and investment cooperation, leading to the signing of numerous memoranda of understanding in various sectors including energy, infrastructure, industry, health, trade, and finance.

Ala’a Al-Din further emphasized that the upcoming phase will concentrate on turning the outcomes of the visit into real-world projects, job opportunities, and investments. These initiatives are expected to contribute to economic diversification, enhance the role of the private sector, and improve service levels, thereby fulfilling the aspirations of the Iraqi people and supporting the country’s stability and prosperity.
