According to National Iraqi News Agency, in a speech at the Zarzuela Palace gardens, King Felipe VI acknowledged the team's dedication and the unity it brought to the country. "When our national team plays, we all play. And when you won, you did it for all of Spain," he remarked. He praised the team for their determination, resilience, and teamwork, highlighting their solidarity and generosity on the field.

Spain secured the 2026 World Cup title by defeating Argentina 1-0 in a match held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
