Baghdad: The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) have announced the arrest of a suspect in Anbar province, citing the law banning the dissolved Ba’ath Party as the basis for the detention.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the PMF issued a statement detailing the operation. A joint force from the intelligence unit of the 27th Brigade/1st Special Missions Regiment, along with the PMF’s Intelligence and Information Directorate, executed the arrest during a security operation in the Al-Halabsa area of Al-Karma district, located east of Anbar province.

The PMF emphasized that the operation was conducted based on precise intelligence information. The successful apprehension of the suspect has led to the initiation of the necessary legal proceedings against the individual.
