Baghdad: The Iraqi Meteorological Organization has predicted increased dust and a further rise in temperatures in the coming days.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the organization detailed the weather conditions expected for the coming days. “The weather tomorrow, Tuesday, will be clear and hot across the country. Northwesterly winds will be moderate, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h during the day, causing dust storms in parts of the central and southern regions. Temperatures will rise slightly in the central region, increase by a few degrees in the northern region, and remain similar to today’s temperatures in the southern region,” the statement explained.

The maximum temperatures forecast for tomorrow are expected to reach 45 degrees Celsius in Baghdad and Diyala, 42 in Dohuk and Sulaymaniyah, 44 in Erbil, Nineveh, Kirkuk, and Anbar, 46 in Wasit, Babylon, Karbala, Salah al-Din, Diwaniyah, and Muthanna, 48 in Maysan and Dhi Qar, and 47 in Basra and Najaf, as highlighted in the statement.

The organization further stated that “Wednesday’s weather will be clear and hot across the country, with light to moderate northwesterly winds. Temperatures will rise slightly in the central and southern regions and remain similar to the previous day in the northern region.”

Looking ahead to Thursday, the statement indicated that the weather will continue to be clear and hot across Iraq, with moderate northwesterly winds. Temperatures are expected to decrease slightly in the central region and remain similar to the previous day in the northern and southern regions.

The statement concluded with a forecast for Friday, noting that “Friday’s weather will be clear across the country, with light to moderate northwesterly winds. Temperatures will be similar in the northern and southern regions and slightly higher in the central region compared to the previous day.”
