Baghdad: Quantities of human medicines that violated regulations were seized at the Arar border crossing. The General Authority of Customs intercepted these medicines, which were skillfully hidden inside the roof of a bus and in various other locations, in an attempt to smuggle them into the country unlawfully.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Authority revealed in a press release that the operation led to the discovery of 154 Mounjaro needles along with 38 iron protein tablets. Legal procedures were promptly initiated, and a formal seizure report was prepared for the confiscated items in compliance with the provisions of the Customs Law and applicable regulations.

The General Authority of Customs emphasized that its personnel will persist in executing their supervisory and inspection duties with the highest level of professionalism. They plan to intensify inspection procedures at border crossings to thwart smuggling attempts, thereby safeguarding the health and economic security of the nation.
