Baghdad: Justice Minister Khalid Shawani has directed the restructuring of notary public offices in Baghdad. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry announced that Minister Shawani is implementing a series of organizational and administrative measures to rationalize spending, enhance the work environment, combat administrative inefficiency, improve services for citizens, and prevent corruption.

The ministry’s statement highlighted that these measures include a comprehensive rotation of notaries public within Baghdad, with plans to extend this initiative to other provinces. This move aims to boost performance efficiency, enhance transparency, and improve the quality of legal services provided to citizens. Additionally, there will be a thorough evaluation of the notary offices’ performance and achievement levels.

In an effort to streamline spending and reorganize operations, the Minister has also directed the restructuring of certain notary public offices based on actual needs. This initiative emphasizes the development of existing infrastructure, aligning with the Ministry’s digital transformation strategy and the implementation of automation systems. These efforts aim to create a modern work environment, expedite transactions, increase performance efficiency, and improve the level of services available to citizens.
