Baghdad: Lieutenant General Dr. Qais Al-Muhammadawi, Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, met with the French Ambassador to Iraq, Patrick Durel, marking the end of Durel’s tenure in the country. The meeting took place in the presence of the French military attach©, highlighting the strong ties between the two nations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Muhammadawi expressed appreciation for Ambassador Durel’s distinguished diplomatic career and his dedication to supporting Iraqi security forces, particularly during the fight against terrorism. He acknowledged Durel’s contributions in coordinating specialized training courses and facilitating the signing of a security-focused memorandum of understanding between Iraq and France.

Furthermore, Al-Muhammadawi praised Durel’s efforts in enhancing bilateral relations between Baghdad and Paris, understanding the vision of the Iraqi government, and fostering trust and cooperation between the two countries.
