Baghdad: The director of Erbil International Airport, Ahmed Hoshyar, announced today, Tuesday, the temporary suspension of flights to and from the airport.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Hoshyar stated that the decision to suspend flights has been made in response to a wave of attacks targeting the city of Erbil and its airspace. The temporary measure aims to ensure the safety of passengers and crew members amid heightened security concerns.

Hoshyar further mentioned that flights will resume as soon as the security situation stabilizes and returns to normal. The airport authorities are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates to passengers and airlines regarding the resumption of services.
