Basra: The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basra is on the verge of achieving a significant milestone by obtaining “full program accreditation.” This accomplishment will establish the college as the first in Iraq to reach this status in record time, marking a pioneering achievement in the nation’s academic landscape.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Dean of the College, Dr. Jalal Yassin Mustafa, expressed the institution’s readiness to welcome the ministerial committee. This readiness comes after the completion of quality indicators, the discussion, and the official approval of the Quality Assurance Division’s report. Dr. Mustafa emphasized that this distinction not only solidifies the college’s pioneering status, having been the first veterinary medicine college in Iraq to earn program accreditation, but also marks the beginning of a new era of academic excellence.

Dr. Mustafa further highlighted that this achievement represents a qualitative leap for the University of Basra, advancing Iraqi higher education to the forefront of international quality standards with purely national competence.
