Baghdad: The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) have initiated a search operation in the Makhoul mountain range. A unit from the 51st Brigade of the PMF, under the supervision of the Salah al-Din Operations Command, conducted this security operation to enhance security and stability in the region and to pursue terrorist elements.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation involved combing through the mountainous areas, valleys, and rugged paths to ensure they were clear of ISIS remnants. The PMF aimed to prevent any potential attempts by these elements to regroup or establish safe havens within the Makhoul Mountains.

This search operation is part of a series of security and preemptive measures by the PMF to boost stability in the Salah al-Din Governorate.
