Baghdad: The local government in Wasit Governorate welcomed Lieutenant General Hadi Ruzaij, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Police Affairs, along with his delegation. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Provincial Council, the Deputy Governor for Technical Affairs, the Wasit Police Chief, and several security leaders from the governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Wasit Governor Ali Salman stated, “During the meeting, we discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the local government and the Ministry of Interior to support the security system and consolidate stability in the governorate, in addition to discussing a number of issues of common interest.” Governor Salman highlighted that the security file in Wasit is a top priority, as it is essential for protecting citizens and enhancing stability. He commended the efforts of the security forces in maintaining security and order and serving the people of the governorate.
