Baghdad: The Wasit Provincial Council convened a joint session with the Governor of Wasit and various security leaders to review preparations for the Arba’een pilgrimage to the shrine of Imam Hussein.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Council Chairman Adel Mohammed stated that the meeting included members of the Provincial Council, the Wasit Police Chief, the Director of the Zurbatiyah border crossing, and the Commander of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Wasit. Security leaders and directors of security departments in the province were also in attendance. The session focused on discussing plans and procedures for the upcoming pilgrimage.

Mohammed further explained that discussions covered the security and service situation, with a focus on ensuring a smooth flow of pilgrims. The meeting also addressed enhancing coordination among relevant authorities to guarantee the success of the security and service plan, aiming to provide the best possible services to pilgrims during the pilgrimage.
