Baghdad: Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Farhad Amin Al-Atroushi, held a meeting with Minister of Health, Dr. Abdul Hussein Al-Moussawi, and his delegation to discuss pressing service and health issues impacting citizens, as well as the employment situation of medical graduates.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Deputy Speaker's office released a press statement indicating that Al-Atroushi welcomed Al-Moussawi and his team at his office, with several parliament members in attendance. The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between the legislative and executive branches, addressing critical service and health matters that directly affect the populace.
A significant part of the discussion revolved around the appointment of medical graduates. The dialogue underscored the necessity of bolstering the health sector with skilled professionals and enhancing the quality of medical and health services available to citizens across various governorates. Additionally, the talks highlighted the need for supporting hospitals and specialized centers with essential supplies and medications, particularly in the governorates and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The meeting also emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between the federal and regional Health Ministries and the development of infrastructure to elevate the health sector and fulfill citizens' needs.
