National Security Seizes a Drone Manufacturing Workshop in Baghdad

Baghdad: The National Security Service announced on Tuesday the discovery of a drone manufacturing workshop in Baghdad.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Service stated, "Following meticulous intelligence efforts, the National Security Service thwarted an attempt to manufacture drones within the capital, Baghdad, and arrested three suspects involved in this activity." The operation was conducted under the supervision of the judge of the Third Investigation Court, which specializes in cases related to the Service.

Detachments executed arrest and search warrants issued against the suspects, resulting in the seizure of 25 drone frames, as well as equipment and tools used in assembly and production. The investigations further led to the discovery and seizure of a workshop containing carbon fiber panels and parts, along with technical supplies used in the production process.

The statement concluded that this attempt was thwarted before completion, and investigations are ongoing to determine whether this activity is linked to any plots that threaten national security, in preparation for referring the suspects to the judiciary to receive their just punishment.
