Undersecretary of Interior Leads Security Conference in Maysan

Baghdad: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Police Affairs, Lieutenant General Hadi Ruzaij Kassar, convened an extensive security conference at the Maysan Governorate Police Command, which was attended by the governorate's police chief and other key security leaders.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the conference featured a comprehensive briefing on the security situation in the governorate, detailing the level of duty implementation and ongoing preparations. The discussions also highlighted significant challenges and obstacles, along with strategies to address them.

The participants focused on the security situation in Maysan Governorate and particularly the security plan for the upcoming Arba'een pilgrimage to the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). This included ensuring the safety and smooth movement of pilgrims arriving from both within Iraq and neighboring countries. Coordination with all security and service agencies was emphasized to provide a secure environment for the pilgrims.

Lieutenant General Kassar underscored the necessity of enhancing coordination among security agencies, elevating preparedness levels, and accurately executing the established plans. This is aimed at ensuring the success of the security measures, safeguarding citizens and visitors, and reinforcing security and stability in the Maysan Governorate.
