Baghdad: The Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre is set to organize the fifth edition of the Arabic and Creative Industries Congress on September 20 and 21 at Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi. The event will run under the theme ‘Arabic as a Civilizational Structure: Identity, Knowledge, and Economic Power in the Digital Age.’
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Congress, since its inception, has expanded its dialogue beyond merely promoting Arabic as a language of creativity. It now also explores the language’s fundamental role in fostering innovation, knowledge production, artificial intelligence, creative industries, and economic growth. This year’s theme aims to demonstrate how strategic investment in the Arabic language, as a cornerstone for building a sustainable knowledge economy, can create new opportunities in culture, technology, and the creative economy. This approach is intended to enhance the competitiveness of Arabic in the digital age and solidify its presence in the global creative economy ecosystem.
The two-day congress will feature a program that brings together a select group of policymakers, academics, technology leaders, investors, innovators, and cultural and creative sector leaders from around the world. The event aims to anticipate future trends, foster cross-sectoral collaboration, and shape the future of the Arabic language amid rapid digital development and expanding global communication.
