Baghdad: Naeem Al-Aboudi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the House of Wisdom, emphasized the importance of strengthening the institution’s scholarly role in providing insightful perspectives and studies that contribute to addressing national and societal issues.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Aboudi met with members of the advisory team of the Department of Islamic Studies in their periodic meeting. This meeting was focused on discussing various scholarly and intellectual issues related to the department’s future plans and programs, its upcoming annual scientific conference, and the mechanisms for developing its research activities to address intellectual and societal challenges effectively.

The session also delved into the preparations for the tenth annual scientific conference organized by the department, themed “Towards an Authentic Islamic Approach to Confronting the Challenges of the Age,” scheduled for early October. Advisory team members presented the conference’s preparatory stages to Al-Aboudi, offering analyses rooted in values of moderation, solidarity, and social responsibility.

Discussions included the department’s scientific plan for the upcoming phase and strategies to enhance seminars, conferences, and specialized research. This initiative aims to fortify the House of Wisdom’s position as a leading intellectual institution, enriching Iraq’s cultural and scientific landscape and fostering intellectual dialogue across disciplines.

Al-Aboudi reiterated the necessity of using academic research to benefit society and enhance cooperation between researchers and experts. This collaboration is expected to produce scientific outcomes that aid decision-making and align with current changes.

At the meeting’s conclusion, Al-Aboudi praised the advisory team’s efforts, advocating for continued communication and coordination to ensure the success of scientific programs and the achievement of the House of Wisdom’s strategic objectives.
