Baghdad: Minister of Transport Wahab al-Hassani received on Wednesday the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Yazidi Affairs, Dr. Khalaf Khader Sinjari, and a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to discuss the implementation of the Cabinet’s directives regarding support for Sinjar District from all Iraqi ministries.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Minister of Transport affirmed during the meeting the Ministry’s support for all efforts and programs aimed at enhancing stability in Sinjar District and providing the necessary services within the Ministry’s purview.

The Minister also directed that a meeting be held with the directors of the private transport management companies, the land transport companies, the railways, and the passenger and delegation transport companies, in addition to the directors of relevant departments within the Ministry, to discuss the requirements for supporting Sinjar District and facilitating the necessary procedures.

For their part, the visiting delegation praised the warm reception and the Minister’s highly positive engagement with the Sinjar issue, affirming their continued coordination with the Ministry’s departments to achieve the best interests of Sinjar District and its people.
