Baghdad: A suspect has been arrested in Basra in connection with a murder case. Basra police confirmed the arrest of the individual, who is wanted under Article (405) of the Penal Code for the crime of murder.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the arrest was made by the Ma’qal Police Station. The Basra Governorate Police Command released a statement noting that legal procedures have already been initiated against the suspect, who has now been referred to the judiciary for further action.
