Baghdad: The US Central Command announced on Wednesday the completion of the eleventh consecutive night of strikes against Iran. The series of operations focused on disabling Iranian military assets that could threaten commercial activities in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the US Central Command specified that the strikes targeted Iranian military operations centers, naval capabilities, and aircraft and drone hangars. The operations were part of a strategic effort to reduce Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

The statement further highlighted that Iran has been responsible for launching attacks on more than 30 commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz over the past three months. Despite these tensions, the US Central Command reassured that the Strait remains open to commercial shipping.
