Kirkuk: The process of supplying subsidized kerosene for the operation of private generators in Kirkuk has begun. The director of the Kirkuk branch of the Oil Products Distribution Company, Engineer Ali Mohammed Rabie, announced the commencement of the supply of subsidized gas oil (kerosene) to private generators.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Rabie stated, “The tankers transporting gas oil have begun loading at the oil sites to supply private generators, which will contribute to providing electricity to residential areas in the governorate.” This initiative comes as Kirkuk faces significant power outages from the national grid, with electricity unavailable for more than 19 hours daily. The situation is further exacerbated by high temperatures and a severe fuel shortage impacting the region.
