Nineveh: A source in the Nineveh Police reported that detachments from the Tal Afar Anti-Crime Department, in coordination with the Baaj Police Department, were able to solve the murder of a citizen in the village of Abu Takiya, west of the province, and arrest the suspect in less than 72 hours.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the investigation resulted in the suspect confessing to shooting the victim due to work-related disputes and stealing his motorcycle. The operation was carried out under the supervision of the Nineveh Police Command and with the directives of the Ministry of Interior.

The source confirmed that the investigating judge ordered the suspect’s detention in accordance with Article 406 of the Penal Code to complete the legal procedures against him.
