Najaf: The Rituals and Million-Person Pilgrimages Department in Najaf Governorate has announced the registration of more than 7,500 processions to facilitate the Arbaeen pilgrimage.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the department has issued over 7,500 badges for the Husseini processions as part of their efforts to organize and enhance services for pilgrims during the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein. The department, led by Director Haider Gaboun, began the registration process at the start of the month of Safar. The processions are spread across various routes in Najaf Governorate, from the borders with southern and northern governorates to the ‘Ya Hussein’ route leading to Karbala.

Gaboun highlighted that the registration campaign focused exclusively on the Husseini service processions for Najaf residents. These are located in the Old City, near the shrine of Imam Ali, and extend to the outskirts of Karbala. He also stressed the importance of coordination with service and security departments to ensure smooth operations and high-quality services for pilgrims.
