Baghdad: The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities for Arts Affairs, Qasim Taher Al-Sudani, offered his condolences on the passing of the great Iraqi musician Farouk Hilal, who departed after a rich artistic career marked by prolific contributions and creativity. Hilal was one of the most prominent figures who enriched the Iraqi musical landscape, leaving behind an artistic legacy that will remain present in the memory of Iraqi culture.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani stated, "The deceased was a model of an artist devoted to his art and his country, and through decades of dedication, he contributed to solidifying the Iraqi musical identity, presenting timeless works that will forever bear witness to his talent and creativity."

He emphasized that the Ministry was attentive to Hilal's health during his illness, highlighting its responsibility and concern for cultural icons. Al-Sudani expressed his deepest condolences to the family of the deceased, the artistic and cultural community, and all admirers, asking for divine mercy and solace for his family.
