Baghdad: US President Donald Trump has announced that Iran is not yet prepared to finalize an agreement, although discussions are currently underway.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Trump elaborated in a press statement that the United States has two main options concerning Iran: to persist with strikes to dismantle its capabilities or to work towards an agreement through negotiations. He emphasized, “We have two options regarding Iran: either to continue the strikes and destroy its capabilities, or to reach an agreement, and we are currently negotiating with them.”

Trump further noted the importance of patience in the ongoing dialogue, saying, “Let’s wait and see what the talks with Iran yield.” This statement highlights the US government’s current stance on maintaining diplomatic channels with Iran while evaluating potential outcomes of the negotiations.
