Baghdad: The Maysan Anti-Crime Unit conducted a special operation to rescue a kidnapped woman from Wasit Governorate and apprehend the suspect responsible for her abduction in Amarah city center.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, security forces in Maysan successfully freed the kidnapped woman following a targeted security operation. The operation was executed based on intelligence efforts and precise field surveillance, which enabled the authorities to locate the victim’s whereabouts.

A statement from the Maysan Police Command revealed that the mission was carried out successfully, leading to the safe release of the victim and the arrest of the suspect. The kidnapped woman was returned to her family in good health, while the abductor was detained to undergo legal proceedings and will be referred to the competent judicial authorities.
