Anbar: The local government in Anbar province confirmed on Friday that construction of the combined cycle power plant project has reached approximately 90% completion. It noted that the project’s full operation is contingent upon securing gas supplies from the Akaz gas field and completing the gas pipeline.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the local government said in a statement that “the construction of the Anbar combined cycle power plant has reached approximately 90% completion, while the remaining work continues according to the approved implementation plan.” The statement added that “the project’s full operation is contingent upon securing gas supplies from the Akaz gas field, as fueling the plant is a crucial step in bringing it online.”
