Diyala Powerlifting Team Achieves Advanced Results in the Iraqi Championship

Baghdad: The Diyala team achieved advanced positions in the Iraqi Powerlifting Championship, in a new achievement added to the club's record.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Firas Hamza, Secretary of the Diyala Sports Club, highlighted the team's success in the championship held in Nineveh Governorate. The Diyala Club athletes secured top positions through excellent preparation, determination, and a spirit of challenge.

Player Mohammed Ayad attained first place in the advanced category for the 105 kg weight class, while Hassan Abdul Mahdi also clinched first place in the 74 kg weight class of the same category. In the advanced category for the 66 kg weight class, Ahmed Wael achieved a second-place finish. Mahdi Hassan and Basil Muslim both earned second place in the junior and youth categories for the 83 kg and 105 kg weight classes, respectively. Omar Qusay and Ammar Rawad secured second place in the youth category for the 120 kg and over 120 kg weight classes, respectively. Additionally, Mustafa Nibrasa won third place in the junior category, and players Mohammed Hasam and Haider Hamid both secured third place in the youth category.
