Sousse: The Ministry of Justice announced the success of the Susa Prison administration in producing abundant quantities of natural honey as part of a specialized beekeeping project, within the framework of supporting productive activities and enhancing inmates' skills.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry explained that the honey production was distributed to inmates suffering from certain medical conditions, thus contributing to supporting their healthcare, in addition to benefiting from the locally produced product within the prison.

The prison administration confirmed that the establishment of the beekeeping unit has effectively contributed to engaging inmates in practical programs that enhance their psychological rehabilitation, cultivate a sense of responsibility and work ethic, and provide them with professional skills that they can utilize after completing their sentences, in line with the Ministry of Justice's goals of achieving reform and social reintegration.
