Karbala: The Director of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, accompanied by several senior security leaders, arrived in the holy province of Karbala to discuss security and service preparations for the upcoming Arbaeen pilgrimage.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Governor of Karbala, Nassif Jassim al-Khattabi, welcomed Lieutenant General Al-Shammari, along with the Head of the Services Committee, Dr. Ali Razouqi, and the Head of the Transportation Committee, Sheikh Sami al-Masoudi, at the governorate headquarters. The meeting aimed to discuss organizational plans and enhance coordination between security and service agencies to ensure the smooth implementation of strategies and provide optimal services to pilgrims.

In a related context, a statement from the office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces highlighted that Lieutenant General Al-Shammari chaired an expanded conference at the Holy Karbala Operations Command headquarters. This conference included the governor, the head of the service committee, and several security leaders, as well as representatives from various ministries, departments, and supporting bodies.

The statement provided that Al-Shammari received a detailed briefing on the organizational and coordination plans for commemorating the Arba'een of Imam Hussein. He also reviewed the plans for all aspects of the pilgrimage and their implementation mechanisms to ensure a smooth flow of mourners, secure roads, and address any challenges that may arise.

Lieutenant General Al-Shammari emphasized the importance of utilizing intelligence efforts, avoiding traffic disruptions, and providing the best possible services to pilgrims. He also stressed the integration of security and service efforts to ensure the success of this significant pilgrimage.
