Baghdad: Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, confirmed on Saturday that combating violence against women is a project that is being strengthened in all state institutions.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Sayyid Al-Hakim made these remarks during a speech at the 18th Islamic Day Conference for Combating Violence Against Women. He emphasized that the project to combat violence against women is being reinforced across all Iraqi state institutions, highlighting that violence is not limited to physical assault but also includes psychological violence, marginalization, and exclusion.

Sayyid Al-Hakim further elaborated that addressing all forms of violence against women requires prioritizing the implementation of the Yazidi law and extending its scope to other affected groups. He also stressed the importance of enhancing the law to protect women from electronic blackmail and called for the widespread implementation of the National Family Initiative to achieve its goals.
