Baghdad: The Dhi Qar Provincial Council announced today, Sunday, that official working hours will be suspended next Sunday in observance of Arba'een, the fortieth day after the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the official spokesperson for the Dhi Qar Provincial Council, Ahmed Salim al-Ibrahimi, stated in a press release that the suspension will affect the province's departments and institutions. This decision is intended to allow residents of the province to participate in commemorating this significant religious occasion.
