Baghdad: Three children sustained varying injuries when a cluster bomb remnant exploded in the village of Al-Saloumiya, in the Al-Qusayr area of ??southwestern Homs countryside, according to local sources in Homs. Residents rushed them to the hospital immediately after the explosion for treatment.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, landmines and other remnants of war continue to threaten civilians, especially children, in various parts of Syria, particularly in areas that witnessed previous battles.

The response to residents’ demands for the deployment of demining teams remains limited due to insufficient resources, the lack of minefield maps, and inadequate international assistance.
