Baghdad: The Najaf Governorate Council, led by Hussein Al-Issawi, has announced a suspension of official working hours in the governorate from Tuesday, July 28, 2026, to Sunday, August 2, 2026. This decision was made during an extraordinary session to accommodate the upcoming Arba’een pilgrimage.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the council further clarified that Monday, August 3, and Tuesday, August 4, 2026, will be recognized as federal holidays.
