Baghdad: Iran has issued a stark warning to Britain, declaring it a “legitimate target” should it continue to back the United States in any military conflict with Iran. Brigadier General Hossein Mohebi, spokesman for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, delivered the warning during a press conference, underscoring heightened tensions in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Brigadier General Mohebi highlighted the use of British airfields by American B-1 bombers as a point of contention. He cautioned that Britain’s ongoing support for U.S. military actions would provoke direct targeting by Iran. Mohebi stressed that Iran has prepared specific responses for every potential scenario, indicating the seriousness of the threat.

The warning was not limited to Britain alone. Mohebi also pointed out that any nation, including Gulf states, providing assistance to the United States in a military confrontation with Iran would similarly be considered a legitimate target. Additionally, Mohebi warned Israel of facing “great calamity” if it chose to resume hostilities, further illustrating the volatile situation.
