Baghdad: Minister of Water Resources Muthanna al-Tamimi met with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Iraq, Daniel Krieger, to discuss the water situation in Iraq. The meeting took place at the minister’s office and focused on reviewing the current state of water resources in the country, as well as the efforts of the Ministry of Water Resources in addressing challenges within the sector.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry issued a press release highlighting the key points of the discussion, which included mutual interest in managing water resources and the importance of continued dialogue between Iraq and Germany. Both parties acknowledged the significance of maintaining open channels for communication and sharing perspectives on water-related issues.

Ambassador Krieger expressed his appreciation for the ministry’s efforts in managing Iraq’s water resources. He also conveyed Germany’s interest in staying informed about developments in the water sector, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts in tackling shared challenges.
