Baghdad: Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has placed a £170 million price tag on their French winger Bradley Barcola during the summer transfer window, amid reported interest from English club Liverpool. The demand comes as negotiations between the player and PSG have reached an impasse.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the stalemate in negotiations was triggered when Barcola rejected a contract extension offer three months ago. This refusal has led PSG to entertain the idea of selling the player, albeit at a significant financial return. Liverpool, on the other hand, is reportedly interested in acquiring Barcola but is keen on negotiating a lower transfer fee should they decide to make a formal offer.

PSG coach Luis Enrique has also weighed in on the situation, highlighting his dedication to keeping players who are committed to the club’s project. He emphasized that while PSG is open to selling Barcola, no player in the team is assured a starting position, reinforcing the competitive nature within the squad.
