Baghdad: The head of the Progress Party, Mohammed al-Halbousi, received the Charg© d’Affaires of the United States Embassy in Iraq, Joshua Harris, on Sunday. The meeting focused on the political situation in Iraq and support for the recent visit of the Iraqi Prime Minister to the United States, which facilitated the launch of a comprehensive economic partnership aimed at bolstering the Iraqi economy and expanding investment opportunities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions also covered developments in the regional and international landscapes. The talks highlighted the challenges facing the region and addressed a number of issues of common interest between Iraq and the United States.
