Najaf: The Al-Alawi Shrine is taking significant steps to enhance the experience of pilgrims during the Arba’een pilgrimage by providing multilingual translators. The Foreign Affairs Unit at the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) has completed its specialized tasks, focusing on both editorial and field operations to facilitate communication with visitors of different nationalities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the head of the unit, Muhannad al-Jamali, outlined that the unit’s efforts are divided into two primary areas. The first area, field work, involves deploying translators to various service departments. These translators offer language assistance to visitors, easing communication in multiple languages, including Turkish, Azerbaijani, Persian, and English. This initiative supports the organizational and service efforts during the pilgrimage.

Al-Jamali further detailed that the second focus is on editorial work. This includes translating administrative documents from various shrine departments, especially those related to the operations room for the Arba’een pilgrimage. Additionally, the unit is responsible for translating directional signs, brochures, and informational publications to aid visitors in navigating the shrine and participating in the pilgrimage activities.
