Kirkuk: The governor of Kirkuk, Mohammed Saman Agha, has announced a new initiative to provide free fuel to orphanages, nursing homes, and essential government offices within the province. This move aims to alleviate the difficulties faced by these institutions due to the cessation of subsidized fuel supplies.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Governor Saman explained that the initiative comes in response to the challenges that have impacted government departments and, consequently, the citizens’ access to vital services. The provision of free fuel will support institutions such as orphanages, homes for the elderly, the Kirkuk Education Directorate, the Treasury, the Passport and Immigration Office, and health centers. This effort is intended to ensure that these institutions can continue their operations and serve the community effectively.

Governor Saman emphasized that the distribution of free fuel is a direct initiative to address the hardships caused by recent economic challenges in the region. By supporting key service institutions, the province hopes to mitigate the impact on citizens and ensure the continued delivery of essential services.
