Baghdad: Trade Minister Mustafa Nizar Al-Ani on Sunday emphasized the significance of holding the Iraqi-Jordanian Economic and Trade Joint Committee meetings in Baghdad as part of initiatives to bolster bilateral economic cooperation.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Ani met with Jordanian Ambassador to Iraq Maher Salem Al-Tarawneh to explore ways to enhance economic and trade ties between the two nations. A statement from the Trade Ministry highlighted the minister’s commitment to expanding economic and commercial relations with Jordan and increasing bilateral trade to serve the mutual interests of both countries, supporting broader cooperation.

During their discussions, both parties underscored the importance of convening the Iraqi-Jordanian Economic and Trade Joint Committee in Baghdad. This gathering aims to advance joint agendas and broaden economic and trade cooperation between the countries.

Al-Ani also pointed out the significance of Jordan’s participation in the upcoming Baghdad International Fair. He noted that this event would provide an opportunity to strengthen trade and investment partnerships while showcasing investment opportunities available in both Iraq and Jordan.
