Baghdad: Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National State Forces Alliance, emphasized the importance of enacting laws that directly address the interests of the people and complete the structure of the Iraqi state. A statement from al-Hakim’s office indicated that he received a delegation from the Hasam parliamentary bloc, headed by Thabit al-Abbasi, and that the two sides discussed developments in the political landscape of Iraq and the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hakim stressed the importance of concerted efforts to confront challenges, particularly the economic challenge. He noted that Iraq has faced even greater challenges on both the social and political levels and has overcome them through the unity of its people and by prioritizing the public interest over private interests.

He reiterated his support for combating corruption, expressing his backing for both the judicial and executive tracks in this regard. Al-Hakim also called for finalizing political agreements to complete the cabinet and appoint competent ministers to the vacant ministries.
