Baghdad: The Ministry of Planning is conducting a workshop to promote a culture of integrity and ethical conduct in public service. The event is organized by the Legal Department of the Ministry in collaboration with the Federal Integrity Commission, focusing on embedding the principles of integrity and transparency within public service sectors. This initiative aligns with broader efforts toward administrative reform and the promotion of good governance.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the workshop featured a presentation by Mohammed Al-Masoudi from the Investigations Department of the Federal Integrity Commission. The session underscored the significance of ethics in public service, emphasizing their crucial role in curbing corruption. Particular attention was given to planning ethics, which are positioned as essential in supporting institutional operations and fostering integrity in decision-making and policy formulation.

The workshop covered core concepts of planning ethics, discussing ethical considerations throughout the preparation, implementation, and monitoring phases of planning. It also highlighted the code of ethical conduct for planning professionals, which is grounded in principles of transparency, responsibility, accountability, and the prioritization of public interest.

This workshop is part of an ongoing series of awareness and training programs that the Ministry of Planning is implementing in partnership with the Federal Integrity Commission. These programs aim to cultivate a culture of integrity, boost legal and ethical awareness among government employees, and establish a work environment rooted in professional commitment.
