Baghdad: A weather forecaster has predicted that southern cities in Iraq will be affected by humidity waves at the end of the month. Meteorologist Sadiq Attiya has shared insights into the upcoming weather patterns in Iraq, indicating a brief respite from the scorching summer temperatures.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Attiya forecasted a temporary drop in temperatures on Monday. Despite this change coinciding with the peak of summer, the meteorologist emphasized that the decrease in temperatures will be short-lived. He further explained that temperatures will rise again before the end of the week. Additionally, southern cities are expected to face waves of humidity and fluctuations in surface winds towards the month’s end, suggesting the beginning of the end of the hot, dry winds that have been prevalent.
