Baghdad: Minister of Education Abdul Karim Abtan has assured that students’ rights are fully protected during the examination process, with a robust system in place to review exam appeals. In an extensive meeting with key officials, including the Undersecretary for Technical Affairs, the Head of the Permanent Examinations Committee, and the Director General of Evaluation and Examinations, he assessed the execution of the examination plan. Abtan lauded the seamless administration of the general examinations, attributing the success to the concerted efforts of the ministry staff, sub-examination committees, and various supporting bodies, under the oversight of the Prime Minister.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry’s statement highlighted the significant contribution of the National Security Service and other supporting ministries in ensuring the integrity of the examination process and thwarting cheating attempts. The Minister urged students to disregard unfounded rumors that might undermine confidence in the examination procedures, stressing that each appeal is meticulously audited by specialized committees. He reiterated the ministry’s dedication to ensuring fairness and recognizing each student’s rightful achievements.

In closing, the Head of the Permanent Examinations Committee expressed appreciation for the Minister’s proactive involvement, including his on-site monitoring, nighttime inspections, direct oversight of examination centers, and management of the central monitoring room. The examination cycle has successfully concluded, with measures in place to uphold the confidentiality of examination materials and protect the students’ efforts.
