Najaf: A security meeting was held at the Najaf Governorate building, chaired by Governor Youssef Kanawi, to discuss the finalization of security measures for receiving Arbaeen pilgrims. The meeting was attended by leaders of various security agencies, ensuring a comprehensive approach to the security and service procedures needed for the event.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, police media officer Mufid Salem highlighted that the meeting aimed to discuss and finalize the necessary protocols for welcoming pilgrims who are arriving to commemorate the Arba’een of Imam Hussein. The discussions focused on key aspects of the security plan, including coordination mechanisms among different units to ensure efficient management of the pilgrimage.

Mufid Salem further elaborated that the main objectives of the meeting were to ensure a smooth flow of pilgrims, enhance security and stability in the region, and provide optimal services during the pilgrimage. The collaboration among security agencies is expected to facilitate an organized and peaceful environment for the religious observance.
