Baghdad: Unidentified skeletal remains believed to date back to the liberation of Mosul have been discovered in the city’s western area. The remains were found in the door and window manufacturing section of western Mosul by units from the Nineveh police.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a source in the Nineveh police stated that initial indications suggest the remains are from the period of Mosul’s liberation operations. The relevant authorities have commenced the process of removing the remains, launching an investigation, and undertaking the necessary legal procedures to ascertain the identity of the individual.
