Baghdad: The Youth Culture and Arts Department at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, through its Psychological and Social Rehabilitation for Combating Extremism Division, conducted an awareness workshop titled “The Role of Women in Combating Extremism,” in collaboration with the Kadhimiya Culture and Arts Forum.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the workshop was led by Dr. Rana Jamal, Director of the Psychological and Social Rehabilitation for Combating Extremism Division. Dr. Jamal discussed the key psychological and social challenges women face within the family and society and their impact on family stability and the social environment. She emphasized that extremism manifests in various forms and highlighted the need for collective efforts to counter it through awareness, culture, and constructive dialogue.

This event is part of a broader series of activities and programs implemented by the division, aiming to promote a culture of moderation and enhance intellectual security. These initiatives align with the government program’s objectives to foster a conscious and cohesive society capable of addressing all forms of extremism.
